Commissioning

At the heart of BCMG’s work is the commissioning and performance of new works from the most exciting composers of our time. The Group has premiered some 150 new works by leading UK and overseas composers and has given over 550 performances of these pieces. Most have been commissioned with the help of a large number of individuals through BCMG’s ground-breaking Sound Investment scheme.

At a time when the world is particularly unsparing for composers, BCMG is their friend. At BCMG the composer comes first, and a new piece will be treated like a new baby, with the utmost care and attention.
