Howard Skempton and Charlie Usher to give pre-concert talk

Before BCMG's Howard Skempton Portrait Concert on Saturday 27th February composers Howard Skempton and Charlie Usher will give a free pre-concert talk at 6.30pm at CBSO Centre.
The wonderful Howard Skempton, whose work is the focus of this concert, will talk about his compositions featured in tonight’s concert and his involvement in the contemporary music scene for the past 40 years. Joining him will be Charlie Usher, winner of the Guardian/BBC Proms Young Composer of the Year 2004, who will be talking about his composition Slow Pan, which is to be premièred in tonight’s concert and is a Sound Investment commission.
This free event is open to all.
