Via Nova Choir

Via Nova

Via Nova was formed in 2013 by conductor Daniel Galbreath to explore contemporary choral repertoire with a special focus on improvisational and experimental techniques. Since then, it has delivered over 14 world premieres and performed alongside the likes of Howard Skempton, Pauline Oliveros and the Waste Paper Opera Company. Recent highlights include the European première ofthe Feldman’s The Swallows of Salangan (broadcast on BBC Radio 3) and a workshop project with students at Birmingham Conservatoire. In November 2015, Via Nova performed at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, as part of the HCMF shorts series.
