Music Maze is a free, fun, creative and participatory workshop for children aged 8 – 11 and an accompanying adult family member or carer organised by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and led by composer Duncan Chapman and BCMG musicians.
Using participants’ own instruments and BCMG’s fantastic percussion collection, participants will compose musical lines, layers and contours inspired by Skempton’s Field Notes and Cornelius Cardew’s amazing graphic score Treatise. This free workshop is linked to the Field Notes performance on Sunday 26 October at The Rodd. Participants do not need to play a musical instrument to take part.

There are 2 entrances. Use the one signed 'Sidney Nolan Trust' and follow directions to car parking. There are parking spaces adjacent to each location for people with limited mobility. When possible please advise the Trust in advance so that they can ensure that access to these spaces is kept clear. There are toilet facilities, including wheelchair accessible facilities, at two locations on site.
