If so, Feel the Buzz is for you!
Feel the Buzz is an exciting composing project for 14-18 year olds run by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG) in collaboration with Wem Town Hall and Shropshire Music Service. Spend two days working with composer Duncan Chapman, artist Matthew Harris and fantastic BCMG musicians to compose and improvise music inspired by Matthew’s art and by composer Cornelius Cardew’s amazing graphic score Treatise. This project is part of Field Notes, a tour of performances to venues in Shropshire and Herefordshire produced by BCMG, Craftspace and Arts Alive.
You must be able to attend both days of workshops and it would be helpful to have basic notation skills. BCMG welcomes instrumentalists from all cultural traditions. Feel the Buzz offers you:
