Music Maze is a series of fun, creative, participatory workshops for children aged 8–11, led by BCMG Director of Learning Nancy Evans and the learning team alongside BCMG musicians. Most workshops are linked to performances by BCMG. Children do not need to play a musical instrument to take part.
Due to legal requirements regarding the performance at Town Hall and child licensing the booking will close Monday 8 January at 9am.
Don’t miss the opportunity to perform at the Town Hall stage!
January’s Music Maze will explore the idea of musical conversations between instruments inspired by the Elliott Carter piece Two Controversies and a Conversation. The piece will be performed by BCMG at 4pm at the Town Hall on the same day. Music Maze has been invited to perform at the Town Hall as a pre-concert event at 2.15pm. Parents will be asked to help support us getting children and instruments across to the Town Hall at 1.15pm. Children and parents are then invited to stay for the 4pm concert, accompanying adults will be able to buy discounted tickets for £5. The piece that Music Maze will focus on is in the first half of the concert.
