Music Maze is a series of fun, creative, participatory workshops for children aged 8–11, led by BCMG Director of Learning Nancy Evans and the learning team alongside BCMG musicians. Most workshops are linked to performances by BCMG. Children do not need to play a musical instrument to take part.
September’s Music Maze links to two free performances of BCMG’s Canal Serenade at 4pm on Sunday 10 September and on Saturday 23 September at 2pm when three new compositions will be performed on three separate narrowboats, uniting at the meeting point of three canals in front of the Barclaycard Arena. In the workshop we will create new music, songs and chants using texts found around the Gas Street Basin.
Places are limited and need to be booked at bcmg.org.uk. A suggested donation of £6 will ensure that we can continue our workshop programme.
For any questions regarding bookings please email learning@bcmg.org.uk or call 0121 616 6519.
Children attending Music Maze can earn Arts Award Explore through our workshops. To find out more click here.
