BCMG Young Composers is a brand-new project for budding composers in KS3 (aged 11-14). We are offering up to 10 young people the opportunity to compose for BCMG musicians under the guidance of the professional composer Chloe Knibbs. 

If you have a passion for composing already or would like to try composing for the first time, this project is for you!

 

 

Through a series of FREE weekend workshops across the summer term, you will have the opportunity to compose for three BCMG musicians (cello, flute, and saxophone) and explore a range of composing techniques. The project will culminate in composing for a combination of the three instruments and will be performed, recorded, and filmed in a concert at CBSO Centre.

You must be able to attend all the workshop sessions, details are listed below.
