* Programme and Timing Changes

Due to the change in the Early May Bank Holiday, the concert start time has been changed to 7.30pm. As a result, the Pre-concert performance of new works created by Creative Composing Lab participants will now start at 5.45pm, and the Pre-concert Conversation with conductor Mirga Gražinyte-Tyla and BCMG Artistic Director Stephan Meier will now start at 6.15pm.

The programme has also been revised to include works by Gérard Grisey and Rebecca Saunders – composers who carry forward Edgard Varèse’s pioneering legacy through the 20th and 21st centuries – as well as continuing BCMG’s link with the CBSO Centenary Season with the addition of Debussy’s Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune.
