Using these unprecedented times as a stimulus for creativity, we are commissioning a series of new pieces from composers around the globe whose countries have been significantly impacted by COVID-19. Composers have been asked to create a piece for a solo artist and will work with that musician over digital platforms to rehearse, refine, and record their music. We welcome former BCMG Apprentice Composer-in-Residence, Donghoon Shin, to write a new solo piece for violin, to receive its world premiere exclusively on BCMG digital channels.
