Join us online at 5pm on Monday 4 July for an intimate chat with composer Howard Skempton ahead of the world premiere of his new Sound Investment birthday commission.

In September we celebrate the composer's 75th birthday with concerts in Leamington Spa and Kent, featuring Skempton's own music alongside Rebecca Saunders, Nigel Osborne, and Webern, conducted by Thomas Kemp.

During this special private livestream event in the lead-up to our concerts, you will hear about Howard Skempton's new piece for BCMG, some of his favourite pieces of contemporary music, and his creative process as a composer. You will also get the opportunity to ask him questions of your own.

Let me tell you a story

With a focus on movement, reflection, and, of course, storytelling, this springtime concert will include the performance of two new theatrical pieces of music, specifically written for all ages. Featuring work by Ondrej Adamek and Hilda Paredes.
