Come and support early-career musicians and insert some creativity into your evening. There will be guaranteed good vibes, tasty coffee, a great venue, and it's free for students (and cheap for non-students).

Composer Frédéric Pattar and musicians from acclaimed French ensemble L’instant donné will be visiting Birmingham this February to work with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group’s early career NEXT musicians for some exciting workshops.

These workshops will culminate in two special performances by our talented NEXT musicians and members of L’instant donné of the unnervingly beautiful works of Frédéric Pattar.

Experience experimental new music, live in the heart of Birmingham.

Black Mirrors is brought to you as part of the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group's NEXT study programme, in collaboration with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. The NEXT study programme offers a unique 1-year training programme for music students and professional musicians, looking for a career as performers of contemporary music.
