Birmingham Contemporary Music Group is recruiting for a Learning Trainee for 2019-2020. BCMG is one of Europe’s leading contemporary arts organisations whose critically-acclaimed work includes concerts, tours, new music commissions and Learning and Participation Programmes.

We seek an enthusiastic person who will enjoy and learn from being part of a busy and exciting Learning & Participation Programme. The successful candidate is likely to be a music graduate to degree level or equivalent and will need to display a passion for music education and contemporary music. Previous experience in this field will be an advantage but is not essential. The post holder will provide administrative support for our Learning & Participation Programme and be practically involved in a variety of projects.

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, ambitious and creative Learning and Participation team at BCMG - the Director of Learning and Participation (3 days a week) and two Learning Co-ordinators (2 days a week each).

  • Salary £7,007 gross annual salary (2.5 days per week), pro rata of £14,014
  • Based at CBSO Centre, Birmingham
  • Part-time (2.5 days a week) fixed-term contract for 12 months from September 2019
