Deputy Chair

Penny Collier is an experienced arts development professional. She has run her own arts consultancy practice as well as working in community music and education. Her portfolio includes evaluation, mentoring, training, funding and strategy work for a range of clients including local authorities and the creative industries. She has worked extensively for the Arts Council England West Midlands and Youth Music, the Lottery funding and development agency supporting access to music for young people. Her work has always centered on the role of the arts in education, social inclusion and regeneration. Previously based in Birmingham, now living in Shropshire, she is deeply aware of the challenges facing both urban and rural communities and the arts organisations that serve them.
