New music performed by a new cohort of NEXT Musicians

Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG) and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (RBC) have joined forces to offering NEXT Music - Study Programme in Contemporary Music Performance a new and unique 1-year training programme for music students and professional musicians looking for a career as performers of contemporary music.

Hear our brand-new NEXT Musicians as they come together to perform a selection of works from this and last century performing works by Stockahusen, Ives, Carter and Murail.

Philippe Manoury (b. 1952) Toccata for Piano (1998), 8' 
Charles Ives Unanswered Question (1908), 7' - String Quartet, Wind Quartet, Trumpet
