Affected by the developments of the pandemic, we are sad to announce that THIS CONCERT IS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. We are working with our partners to find a new date.

Sunday 29 March 2020, 3pm
Oozells Square, Brindley Place, B1 2HS

We are delighted to partner with Ikon Gallery to present an outdoor performance of John Cage’s Ryoanji, for flute with electronic sound projections and percussion. Join us on Sunday 29 March at 3pm amongst the cherry trees in Oozells Square.

To coincide with John Newling’s exhibition at Ikon, the performance will create “a garden of sound” with the instruments playing the very outlines of the stones and the raked sand that surrounds them.

The event is FREE but registration is advisable. You might also consider making a small online donation towards BCMG's work.

Alternative plans will be in place in case of rain or adverse weather conditions. We will communicate these in due course by midday on the day of the concert, via email and social media.

Booking for this event has now closed.
