Birmingham Contemporary Music Group presents new works by Mark-Anthony Turnage, Eleanor Alberga and Rebecca Saunders, including a world-premiere performance of Turnage's Concertino – written and dedicated to the brilliant clarinettist, Jon Carnac.

Join us at CBSO Centre for a celebration of Mark-Anthony Turnage's 60th Birthday, a composer who has shaped contemporary music with his confronting yet beautiful orchestral music. In the heart of Birmingham be engulfed in a soundscape of atmospheric music.

This event will also be marking a very special occasion to BCMG, we will be celebrating the opening of a season which will see founding member Ulrich Heinen’s final concerts with BCMG, which he’s done so much for. Join us for a very special Pre-Concert Event in which Ulrich will be playing a commission by Howard Skempton and we will hear from Mark-Anthony Turnage in a behind the scenes interview.
