Looking for a melody

Our 23-24 NEXT performers present true classics from the contemporary repertoire:

Jonathan Harvey’s Ricercare una melodia, a canon sung along themselves by the soloist, first in simple fugato, then in augmentation: at half speed, then quarter speed, and finally four times slower, and lower.

George Crumb's Vox Balaenae, imagining the voices of whales, with astonishingly simple but striking sound effects, is an ode to nature and a warning against destroying it.
