Learning Trainee

Harriet is our Learning Trainee. The trainees work with BCMG for a year and take part in a wide range of practical activity, shadowing different workshop leaders, working alongside BCMG musicians, as well as supporting the projects through helping with their administration.

A brief history

Harriet studied composition at the Royal College of Music, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She grew up in Lincolnshire with an artistic background, playing the cello and piano and studying many kinds of dance. During her studies at music college, she became very passionate about teaching and music education, and loved becoming involved in outreach and community projects, and collaborating on cross-disciplinary projects.

Fun Facts

Harriet is a bit of a free spirit and spends most of her spare time outdoors. She loves kayaking, windsurfing, hiking, yoga, running, and travelling in general. The wilder and more remote the landscape, the better!
