Acocks Green Primary School, Birmingham

Are you a Teacher, Head of Music or Arts Organisation? Book a place for the Arts Partnership Showcase, learn more about your practice, and connect with Birmingham organisations.

Arts Partnership Showcases are aimed at Heads, Music and Performing Arts Leads and offer an opportunity to share practice, find out about high-quality arts education provision, and think together about how to enrich the arts curriculum in their schools and the cultural capital of their children.

During this showcase, we will be opening up one of our Listen Imagine Compose Primary workshops with Year 5 at Acocks Green Primary School led by composer Michael Betteridge. Listen Imagine Compose Primary is a two-year action research project involving 8 composers working with children from 8 primary schools in Birmingham and Bristol.

Arts Partnership Showcase is an initiative of Birmingham Arts School. BAS connects schools and arts organisations – including music, dance, theatre, and visual arts companies, venues, and individual practitioners – across the City. They work strategically with teachers, headteachers, artists, and arts organisations to reduce inequalities for children and young people by engaging schools all over Birmingham with high-quality arts education opportunities.
